What New Year means

The civil New Year is not a Hindu festival, yet it is a natural moment for reflection. Many in the sangat greet the year in meditation or satsang rather than in noise.

A Sankalp (Sacred Resolve) for daily Sadhna (Daily Meditation Practice) is the most valuable resolution a seeker can make: a fixed seat and a fixed time each day, ideally in the early morning hours, to meditate on the inner experience of Brahm Gyan (Direct Internal Awakening / Self-Realization). Small, steady and unbroken is better than large and occasional.
